This adventure takes you to the Sinnoh region, which you may also know is the region for the games Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl. But this story takes place in an era when thoughts about Pokémon trainers or holding a Pokémon League did not even exist. You will find Pokémon living wild in harsh environments that will give you an image of a Sinnoh that may not quite resemble what you remember from Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl.
To catch Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you can first try to observe them to learn their behavior, then sneak carefully, aim with your Poké Ball and then throw! You can also get Pokémon you have become friends with to fight wild Pokémon to catch them more easily. Just throw a Poké Ball that contains your ally Pokémon near a wild Pokémon, and you´ll get right into battle and get your ally Pokémon to perform the attacks it learned.
As you embark on your adventure, ready to create the region´s first Pokédex, you can choose Rowlet, Cyndaquil or Oshawott as partners. These three Pokémon arrived together with a Pokémon professor who managed to collect them after exploring different regions.
