Norwegian aerial photographer Lasse Tur has criss-crossed the airspace above the city in his small aircraft many times, taking photos of the city centre and its suburbs. The numerous photos he has taken in the last four years have allowed him to present an amazing gift to his friends in Tallinn – the coffee table album Tallinn linnulennult (“Tallinn Seen from above”), published in spring 2013, which surprised people for its fascinating ѕelection of motifs and angles. Many of these photos have artistic value in addition to their documentary contribution. Tur’s new album of the Estonian capital is on the same high level of photo pilotage. It is dedicated to the much-photographed Old Town. Jüri Kuuskemaa Tallinn Vanalinn Linnulennult (Tallinn´s Old Town from a bird´s-eye view) is a collection of aerial photos that Lasse took in 2010-2013; they are spiced with passages written by Jüri about the place and its history.
